Biogas Market Emerges

November 15, 2007 · No Comments

Biogas-fueled power generation market is rising, and equipment supplier and plant builders reporting soaring order books. The market is interesting to investor and manufacturers, more over after oil price escalation near US $ 100 per barrel recently. Even if the price is going down, the price will never be the same as good old days. The future of biogas will be bright, if fossil based fuel price is much higher than biogas price.

Biogas is produced by fermentation or anaerobic digestion of many things (preferable contains carbon) such as solid waste, sewage, manures, biodegradable waste, feedstock, landfill gas, or even coal gas mines.

The market will emerge with a few reason :

1. High electricity price if produced by biogas.

2. Enhanced government subsidy.

3. Target Obligation by Regulation or Directives

4. Fuel exchange with carbon emission.

Next we will discuss more about successful biogas plants.
